Description Philbert Desanex 2025-07-25 16:44:13 UTC
The backlight calculation for systems with AMD GPU has a bug that leads to a very dim screen during boot-up, with special impact on the ability to enter the password for LUKS encrypted drives.

My system:
 AMD Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370 w/ Radeon™ 890M × 24
 Fedora 42
 Kernel 6.15.7-200.fc42.x86_64

This has been fixed here: https://lore.kernel.org/amd-gfx/aH2Q_HJvxKbW74vU@hacktheplanet.fi/

Would it be possible to include this patch with 6.16?

Reproducible: Always
