This will be due to the GCC15 upgrade in Fedora 43. Fixed upstream here: https://github.com/sup-heliotrope/ncursesw-ruby/commit/bd468ad296ed5bed2e51ad335858e0c92290e492 and releases as v1.4.13.
Would you apply the upstream patch for C23, or rebase to 1.4.13?
I will update to the 1.4.13 upstream release, just need to find some time to get my Fedora package build environment up and running again. Co-maintainers to help with this package would be welcome as always.
For now I will fix this FTBFS.
