If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, simspark will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 44, simspark will be retired, if it still fails to build. Upstream patch proposal: https://gitlab.com/robocup-sim/SimSpark/-/merge_requests/74 Note that we ruby-sig folks are going to update ruby to 4.0 and rebuild this package for ruby 4.0, perhaps on 2026-Jan: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Ruby_4.0 I hope this FTBFS is resolved by that time (at least the upstream PR is merged): otherwise after ruby rebuild simspark will get FailsToInstall.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to fix this FTBS and other similar projects in few days.
For now I am going to resolve this to prepare for ruby4.0 change.
