rust-defer-drop failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f43 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=135328965 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_43_Mass_Rebuild Please fix rust-defer-drop at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, rust-defer-drop will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 44, rust-defer-drop will be retired, if it still fails to build. Based on some investigation: The build failure here was real, cause by a real test failure on ppc64le, which has started happening with Rust 1.88. I have tried debugging the issue, but it's a bit of a heisenbug. The failure does not reproduce in MIRI - instead, it causes the test executable to hang indefinitely, which is also kind of suspicious, but not really helpful. In the end, it turns out, this package is a leaf package on Fedora 43+ because "rust-skim" was retired (after having been orphaned for 6+ weeks), so I have just retired this package too. It doesn't seem as if investing more time into attempting to fix it would have been worth it.
