For details on the mass rebuild see:

Please fix scalasca at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
scalasca will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 44,
scalasca will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Jan André Reuter 2025-07-31 13:06:45 UTC
I'm guessing this is related to all the discussion on the Fedora Devel mailing list with regards to UCX (Thread: Help needed for scotch FTBFS: illegal instruction of ppc64le - gcc regression?)?
It would certainly make sense. We might need to figure out the exact failure, similar to the other failure on the mailing list.

Comment 5 Orion Poplawski 2025-08-01 01:01:22 UTC
We've fixed this by disabling UCX in openmpi on ppc64le
