causing openmpi and dependent packages to crash it SIGILL. Upstream report is here: https://github.com/openucx/ucx/issues/10780 I'm disabling UCX support in openmpi on ppc64le to fix Fedora FTBFS isssue. Looks like slurm also uses UCX, not sure if it is affected or not. Reproducible: Always
f42 is also affected: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=135571862
That's interesting - since it's still UCX 1.17.0 there.
Hello. This is a bulk comment. This package still needs to be rebuilt and/or shipped with Python 3.14.0rc3+ bytecode in Fedora 43. The Final Freeze of Fedora 43 is scheduled to start next week. Please prioritize this bugzilla accordingly. Thanks.
I think the last comment was meant to be applied to a different bug. I don't believe ucx ships any python code.
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
Maybe the latest version helps? https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/ucx/pull-request/19
OK I merge the PR?
No. This is a version update, not itself a bad thing, is there a subpart of that patch that fixes this problem ?
I don't know. I don't know anything about ucx, I was looking into mpi and wanted to move things along. Applying the version bump seemed like the easiest approach, since it'd need to be done anyway. If it fixes the problem — great. If not, we can look for a different solution.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 45 development cycle. Changing version to 45.
