Comment 4 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2025-10-02 20:04:11 UTC
Proposed as a Blocker for 43-final by Fedora user jjames using the blocker tracking app because:

In my opinion, this bug violates "The installer must be able to complete an installation using all supported interfaces." It also affects multiple people: the submitters of bugs 2388216 and 2388708, and me. I just encountered this issue while attempting to install the XFCE Spin of Fedora 43 Beta.

Comment 5 Jerry James 2025-10-02 22:30:55 UTC
For me, NOT setting the timezone and a non-default NTP server got me past the error. I tried several other approaches first, including setting a root password as suggested in comment 2, but none of them worked.

Comment 6 Katerina Koukiou 2025-10-03 12:36:20 UTC
This should have been fixed with https://github.com/rhinstaller/anaconda-webui/commit/55137bf480686fddea917018a2e026f26c21ea9b which is part of anaconda-webui-50-1.fc43 and above.

Beta release for 43 contains anaconda-webui 48, which does not have this bug fixed: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/43/Fedora-43-20250910.2/compose/Everything/x86_64/os/Packages/a/

Can you please try to see if you can reproduce with the latest ISO? https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/branched/Fedora-43-20251003.n.0/compose/Workstation/x86_64/iso/ ?

Comment 9 Jerry James 2025-10-03 16:48:38 UTC
I cannot reproduce with the latest ISO. Thank you for the fix!
