It appears after ALE was upgraded to 4.0.0 I get spam about missing deps. Doing dnf swap neovim-ale-4.0.0 neovim-ale-3.3.0 resolves the exception spam. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.dnf install neovim-ale-4.0.0 2. vim ~/something.py 3. Notice constant spam about missing lua deps Expected Results: Should not have any spam about missing deps Additional Information: Works on 3.3.0
The issue is not a missing dependency - it's that we didn't package the lua files (which appeared in a new directory) in 4.0.0. Packages inbound to fix that.
