Since building gvim for wayland, the x11-based clientserver functionality had been removed. Maybe you guys haven't noticed: Since some time now, upstream has provided an alternative IPC method using unix sockets. This works nicely out of the box, *IF* enabled using the --enable-socketserver option at configure time. So PLEASE rebuild enabling that option. Compared vim.spec file of the newer Fedora versions and they are all the same, therefore changing version to rawhide in order to hopefull get more attention. Basically all current Fedora versions could benefit from this. Also raising severity to high.
