Hi, msmtp was build for epel 10.1, but not for epel 10.0, although the epel10.0 branch exists in git. Could you please build it there too ? Regards, Xavier
Most likely there was back then so missing dependencies. I didn't check anytime recently. For me EPEL 10.0 misses far too many dependencies in general, and I kind of already gave up: I use EPEL 10.1 in RHEL 10.0, hoping that in november this wrong mismatch will disappear as Red Hat will release RHEL 10.1.
Yeah, a scratch build revealed that libgsasl is missing from 10.0, but was built for 10.1. I'll try and get it built for 10.0.
Hi Romain, libgsasl has reached stable in epel 10.0 : https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2025-54d81e3291 Could you please build msmtp ? Regards, Xavier
FEDORA-EPEL-2025-8d28cebd5b (msmtp-1.8.25-6.el10_0) has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 10.0. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2025-8d28cebd5b
Done. FYI, Red Hat plans on releasing RHEL 10.1 around mid November, and I guess all Enterprise Linux derivatives will follow soon after, so I we won't need much EL 10.0 in couple of weeks.
Thanks Romain ! Yeah, I know RHEL 10.1 is getting closer, but I need some stuff prepared as soon as possible in order to make sure everything is ready for 10.1. The journey began a long time ago, at the very early days of epel 10, when it was building against CentOS Stream 10 and RHEL 10 was not even in beta... Thanks again !
