Description Dave Malcolm 2007-05-11 13:22:57 UTC
Description of problem:
gdm login lists the various users on this box, and most of them are showing:
/usr/share/pixmaps/nobody.png : a silhouette with a question mark in it.

This may be purely subjective, but there's something unappealing about the list
of question marks. Perhaps the login screen should not show an icon for the
cases where the user has not set one.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gdm-2.18.0-11.fc7

How reproducible:
100%, high visibility to a new user. I've installed this by upgrading to
rawhide from FC6. (Would a fresh install with the user created at install time
get an icon? Does the user get to choose their icon during install/firstboot?
If not, then this will affect every fresh install of F7)

This got fixed shortly after test4 (see fedora-devel-list for more info)

Comment 2 Will Woods 2007-05-11 14:28:51 UTC
To apply the fix yourself, edit /etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc and change:
gtk-icon-theme-name = "Echo"
to:
gtk-icon-theme-name = "Fedora"
