Description of problem: PHP is missing Large File Support (LFS) such that any file larger than 2GB won't be listed. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): php-5.1.6-3.5.fc6 How reproducible: very Steps to Reproduce: 1. Standard apache/php setup 2. Create two large files of size 1.9GB and 2.1GB and move them to /var/www/html 3. Create a file at /var/www/html/index.php with the following contents: <?php $filename = 'test1_9GB.zip'; $filename2 = 'test2_1GB.zip'; echo $filename . ': ' . sprintf("%u",filesize($filename)) . ' bytes'; echo "<br/>"; echo $filename2 . ': ' . sprintf("%u",filesize($filename2)) . ' bytes'; ?> 4. Point web browser to index.php (http://127.0.0.1/index.php Actual results: test1_9GB.zip: 2026428014 bytes test2_1GB.zip: 0 bytes Expected results: test1_9GB.zip: 2026428014 bytes test2_1GB.zip: 3136753162 bytes Additional info: I believe this to be an issue on how php is being built for fedora core x86 I took a shot at recompiling the srpms with the suggested CFLAG options -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 from http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.filesystem.php But didn't have much luck Also apache has no problems reporting the file size for those "large files" greater than 2GB.
