Dear package maintainer, We want to update python-setuptools to 80.9.0 or newer. However, your package fails to build with it, in our testing Copr: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/churchyard/setuptools-80.9.0/package/totpcgi To reproduce, try to build your package in mock with: $ fedpkg --release rawhide mockbuild -N -- --addrepo=https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/churchyard/setuptools-80.9.0/fedora-rawhide-x86_64 As the number of failures is rather high, I have not yet tried to look into the details about each individual failure. When you do, please feel free to post relevant part of the logs as comments. Thank you. Let me know if you need help.
+ /usr/bin/python3 setup.py build '--executable=/usr/bin/python3 -sP' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/builddir/build/BUILD/totpcgi-0.6.0-build/totp-cgi-21aa122b5b2f107939f696297d58fe3c16d3ac7b/setup.py", line 4, in <module> from distutils.core import setup ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'distutils' This looks like a missing dependency on python3-setuptools, which was previously transitively brought by setools. It only happened in our testing copr because setools was updated there as well.
With https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-552fc7cade stable, this now fails to build. Not related to the setuptools update.
I don't use this anymore or have much interest in it. I have orphaned it, anyone is welcome to take it and fix it. :)
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
Automation has figured out the package is retired in Fedora Rawhide. If you like it to be unretired, please open a ticket at https://forge.fedoraproject.org/releng/tickets/issues/new
