Description Lukas Ruzicka 2025-10-16 10:27:50 UTC
I was installing Fedora 43 Workstation (RC 1.4) via Anaconda WebUI and I wanted to shrink one Fedora installation to make room for a new Fedora installation to prove that I can shrink partitions using the WebUI's interface to do so.

In the overview of partitions, I can see that some of them can be resized (black icon) and some are inactive (grey icon), however even grey icons can be clicked and the resizing process looks like working, until it should be written to disk. Only then webUI complains that it is not possible to resize BTRFS.

They grey icons should not respond to click in the first place.

See the video attached to the report.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start installation.
2. Select to shrink the partitions and free up space for new installation.
3. Try shrinking partitions with greyed out icons.
Actual Results:
The webUI allows to set all resizing parameters.

Expected Results:
Inactive icons should be "inactive"!

Additional Information:
Screencast attached.

Comment 2 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2025-10-16 10:34:23 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 43-final by Fedora user lruzicka using the blocker tracking app because:

It does not break anything but it does not look that good. I think however, that it is worth testing and therefore I am proposing a freeze exception for this.
