Description of problem: Standard entry for the icons in /usr/share/kde-settings/kde-profile/default/share/config/kdeglobals is: [Icons] Theme=default /usr/share/icons/Default.kde points to /usr/share/icons/crystalsvg Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kde-settings-3.5-26.fc7 kdelibs-3.5.6-9.fc7 How reproducible: ever Steps to Reproduce: 1. install kdelibs 2. install kde-settings 3. Login into a clean user account Actual results: Icons are CrystalSVG Expected results: Icons should be BlueCurve Additional info: Don't know where the best place is to change this. IMHO this is kdeglobals and not the symlink. But we should really stick to BlueCurve.
"The Plan" all along was to default to crystalsvg, *not* Bluecurve. That said, Theme=default is wrong, it should be Theme=crystalsvg and that will be included in a post-release update.
Why crystalsvg? Ok, we have no Echo. But BlueCurve was the default theme in kde for many years. BTW: kde-settings-3.5-26.fc7 is tagged as f7final. And on rawhide-kde-20070517-i386-Live the icons are also CrystalSVG.
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/FeatureFedoraKDE has always listed crystalsvg as our first choice. Regardless, it's not set in stone, we can discuss it in future KDE SIG meetings.
> Regardless, it's not set in stone, we can discuss it in future KDE SIG meetings. Ok. I think, we should do so. Especially the crystalsvg folder icons doesn't fit to the color scheme very well (in my opinion).
