Description Terje Y. Trane 2025-10-29 09:52:55 UTC
Description of problem:

In RHEL8 and RHEL9 we were using python3-pyvmomi from EPEL on our servers running on VMware. Now that we are in the process of upgrading to RHEL10, there is no package for it.

Comment 5 John 2026-01-28 02:54:28 UTC

python-pyvmomi-9.0.0.0-1.el10_2 is useless.

when attempting to perform operations on vmware, it gives error:
"No longer supported. Use pyVmomi.VmomiJSONEncoder instead."

We need python-pyvmomi-8 on EL10, not python-pyvmomi-9
