I attempted updating my desktop AMD Ryzen 9 9900X with NVIDIA 5070TI system from Fedora KDE Plasma 42 to 43. Initially, the system gave a completely blank screen. Read reports that removing the rhgb argument might allow me to boot. This gave me the verbose boot, so I can now see that booting stops at plymouth. starting plymouth-quit-wait.service starting plymouth-quit.service Then it hangs and does not boot. I saw reports of other users having issue with plymouth, but my hardware configuration is different. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Attempt Fedora KDE Plasma 42 to 43 upgrade 2.Boot to blank screen 3.Reboot to fedora rescue, login as root, use command to remove rhgb argument. Reboot. 4. Try booting Fedora again, this time you see verbose boot log and it hangs on plymouth items Actual Results: It does not finish booting Expected Results: Boot to GUI Additional Information: I had NVIDIA drivers installed before the upgrade. I have tried multiple kernels.
