Description philipp.ehses 2025-12-07 22:19:42 UTC
After running a regular update, bluetooth on my HP ZBook Ultra G1a (AMD Strix Halo) stopped working. The wireless adapter is a Mediatek MT7925.

Here are the relevant kernel error messages:

Nov 25 23:57:01 xyz kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: Execution of wmt command timed out
Nov 25 23:57:01 xyz kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: Failed to send wmt func ctrl (-110)
Nov 25 23:57:01 xyz kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: HCI Enhanced Setup Synchronous Connection command is advertised, but not supported.

Downgrading to mt7xxx-firmware-20251021 fixes the issue after a hard reboot.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update to the latest linux-firmware
2. Reboot
3. Bluetooth is no longer working
