Last modified: 2007-11-30 17:12:05 EST
Description of problem:
When booting qemu on F-7-i386-DVD.iso, it seems that there is a problem with
ata_piix driver. The qemu CD/DVD is not detected.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
qemu 0.8.2 with kqemu 1.3.0pre9.
qemu -k fr -m 384 -cdrom F-7-i386-DVD.iso -boot d
Steps to Reproduce:
1. select install or upgrade an existing system, choose language and keyboard.
2. select install from Local CDROM
No driver found.
detection of the DVD and possibility to check the media.
Alt-F4 shows interesting kernel error messages.
I also seen this.
Workaround for FC6 *qemu=0.8.2): upgrade to qemu-0.9.0 from the F7 DVD, it works OK.
This is a bug in qemu 0.8.2's IDE emulation. The worst of the problems are
fixed with qemu 0.9.0
