Please review the linked PR, which would update adobe-afdko from 4.0.1 to 4.0.3[1]. I maintain the python-cffsubr package[2], which relies on the tx executable from adobe-afdko. While the package still works with 4.0.1, updating to 4.0.3 would preserve parity with upstream for python-cffsubr[3], and would allow all users to benefit from bugfixes in the most recent to adobe-afdko patch releases[4]. Ideally, this package would be updated in all active branches. I’m not especially eager to co-maintain this package, but I’m willing do so. If necessary, this issue may serve as the initial step in the lightweight stalled request process[5]. Thank you very much for PR - much appreciated
Do you see a need to backport btw?
(In reply to Jens Petersen from comment #2) > Do you see a need to backport btw? I don’t think there is a pressing *need*, but given that https://github.com/adobe-type-tools/afdko/blob/4.0.3/NEWS.md describes a number of bug fixes and no changes that look potentially disruptive, it seems like a backport should be safe and would be well justified.
