Since the following commit (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/chromium/c/98aabf1afa6e37394cd7338d588cfdc5e35c0970?branch=rawhide) Chromium is being built without CFI. Judging by the commit message, it was probably disabled to fix failure to build for some platforms and systems, but I have been able to build Chromium for Fedora 42 from the same sources with CFI re-enabled, and it builds, installs and works flawlessly. If only some combinations of platform and system don't work well with CFI, I wonder if it can be selectively enabled for those where it does work? After all, a browser is one of the most security-critical components of an OS. Reproducible: Always
