Description Klaasjan Brand 2007-06-04 19:21:05 UTC
Description of problem:

Joining an active directory domain doesn't work anymore.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Fedora 7. Previous version worked fine.

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure ADS as samba security mechanism
2. Run "net ads join" command

Actual results:

Error message:
ADS support not compiled in

Expected results:

Correct ADS join (which will enter the samba system machine account to the
domain and set up trust relationships.

Additional info:

According to the samba site the error could mean the following:
Samba must be reconfigured (remove config.cache) and recompiled (make clean all
install) after the Kerberos libraries and headers files are installed.

I suspect the kerberos libraries were unavailable during the F7 build, but
that's just a wild guess ;)
