Since dovecot was updated to 2.4 (for fedora 43) its logging format has changed enough that fail2ban does (silently) not work for dovecot-logs. I have used the current upstream /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/dovecot.conf which work for 2.4 dovecot Reproducible: Always Additional Information: # rpm -q dovecot fail2ban dovecot-2.4.1-8.fc43.x86_64 fail2ban-1.1.0-13.fc43.noarch
I tried pulling the new config into the build but now the internal testing fails so this has become a non-trivial problem.
