+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #242665 +++

Description of problem:
The ldap init script contains several constructions that returns wrong error
code and also prevent correct status function invocation. For example:
[ -x ${slapd} ] || exit 0
[ -x ${slurpd} ] || exit 0
and some others.
