It looks like clock-applet is responding to the sudden disappearance of evolution-data-server. I'm not sure this is evolution's fault. Reassigning this to gnome-panel for Ray to have a look at. Ray, feel free to bounce it back to me if it turns out to be an evolution-data-server bug.
Based on the date this bug was created, it appears to have been reported during the development of Fedora 8.
