gix-date is an indirect dependency of cargo. I've confirmed that all uses of `TimeBuf` in this build are from other gix crates, and all are properly used only as a buffer for `Time` writes, which is pure ASCII -- safe for UTF-8. Therefore, there are no vulnerable uses here.
