Comment 1 Lumír Balhar 2026-02-19 14:19:42 UTC
setuptools 80.10.2 bundles wheel 0.46.3, where this vulnerability is fixed, but Python 3.15 still bundles version 79.

Comment 2 Miro Hrončok 2026-02-19 19:10:17 UTC
python3.15 only bundles setuptools for its own tests. It is shipped in /usr/lib64/python3.15/test/wheeldata/setuptools-79.0.1-py3-none-any.whl and not intended for user usage. This CVE is moot.
