It launches for me. Is your system up to date, and does running dnf distro-sync make a difference?
I found the issue. I hadn't updated the remote transmission client that I connect to. If I launch transmission-qt after disabling my network connection, it no longer crashes.

No. Upstream fixed this with https://github.com/transmission/transmission/commit/144871ed5ec62d9b45f28774923ac83532eb1a2d but they don't have it in a release yet. It could be patched in.
