Created attachment 2137579 [details] Update to 3.0.4 (#2440329)
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of pybind11-3.0.4-1.fc43.src.rpm for rawhide failed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=144585027
FEDORA-2026-43eebf4bce (pybind11-3.0.4-2.fc44) has been submitted as an update to Fedora 44. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-43eebf4bce
FEDORA-2026-43eebf4bce has been pushed to the Fedora 44 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2026-43eebf4bce` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-43eebf4bce See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates.
I'll note that it seems like the update from 3.0 to 3.0.4 (or possibly python 3.14.5) has broken libmamba: https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/libmamba?collection=f45 /builddir/build/BUILD/libmamba-2.5.0-build/mamba-2.5.0/libmambapy/bindings/specs.cpp: In function ‘void mambapy::bind_submodule_specs(pybind11::module_)’: /builddir/build/BUILD/libmamba-2.5.0-build/mamba-2.5.0/libmambapy/bindings/specs.cpp:348:48: error: conversion from ‘<unresolved overloaded function type>’ to ‘const pybind11::cpp_function’ is ambiguous 348 | .def_property_readonly("location", &UnresolvedChannel::location) | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • there are 2 candidates In file included from /usr/include/pybind11/operators.h:12, from /builddir/build/BUILD/libmamba-2.5.0-build/mamba-2.5.0/libmambapy/bindings/specs.cpp:7: • candidate 1: ‘pybind11::cpp_function::cpp_function(Return (Class::*)(Arg ...) &&, const Extra& ...) [with Return = const std::__cxx11::basic_string<char>&; Class = mamba::specs::UnresolvedChannel; Arg = {}; Extra = {}]’ /usr/include/pybind11/pybind11.h:365:5: 365 | cpp_function(Return (Class::*f)(Arg...) const &, const Extra &...extra) { | ^~~~~~~~~~~~ /usr/include/pybind11/pybind11.h:2590:65: note: initializing argument 2 of ‘pybind11::class_<type_, options>& pybind11::class_<type_, options>::def_property_readonly(const char*, const pybind11::cpp_function&, const Extra& ...) [with Extra = {}; type_ = mamba::specs::UnresolvedChannel; options = {}]’ 2590 | def_property_readonly(const char *name, const cpp_function &fget, const Extra &...extra) { | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^~~~ Which seems surprising for a patch version update.
Nevermind, it appears that this has been fixed in libmamba 2.6.0. Sorry for the noise.
