Proposed as a Blocker for 44-final by Fedora user nielsenb using the blocker tracking app because: Since this appears to prevent the welcome screen from appearing, stretch the [first boot experience](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_44_Final_Release_Criteria#First_boot_experience) criteria to apply to the first login welcome screen. If the first login welcome screen doesn't appear, it cannot withstand a "basic functionality test".
I have not been able to reproduce this. Either the core dump, or the welcome screen not occurring on first login.
Discussed in a blocker review meeting [1] on 2026-03-09. The outcome was: !agreed 2442689 - RejectedBlocker (Final) - this is a bit worrying, but for now it does not seem reproducible, openQA tests don't seem to be hitting it. We don't have any clear indication there's a regularly-encountered issue that breaks the first boot flow [1] https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org//blocker-review_matrix_fedoraproject-org/
