Description of problem:
I just upgraded from Fc6 to FC7, and I cannot play any sounds.
I had similar problem with FC6. On FC6 the problem was intermitant, i.e 20% of the time I had to reboot to get the sound work. Also, on FC6 xine for example would play the video even if the ther were no sounds.
On FC7, so far I have not been able to play any sounds, about 5 reboots. Also, on FC7 xine for example does not play the video nor audio.
Here is the hardware on my PC:

Except that I just upgraded to the latest kernel available this morning.

I think you must have chosen scrollkeeper by mistake for the component above.

Can you please choose the appropriate component for this bug and reassign the
bug to the owner of that component?

OK, now the system is back to the the old FC6 situation.
The sound intermittent, i.e. if I reboot, sometimes twice or three times,
without doing anything else the sound is back!!!

Still happening in Fedora 8?

Masoud,

Could you please provide the information requested in comment #4 (does this
still occur in F8)? If there is no response in one month, I will close this bug
INSUFFICIENT_DATA. Thank you for taking the time to report the original bug.
