Description Jeremy Linton 2026-03-05 07:15:32 UTC
Log into fedora as "Super User" aka root, and note that the file manager icon silently fails because its dumping a message into standard output "Running as root is not supported. Consider running 'nautilus admin:///' instead.

Which doesn't help someone who logs in as root.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Fedora workstation, with root account password set, Log in initially with the not shown option
2. Click the file manager icon on the panel
3. Note nothing happens

Additional Information:
A similar thing happens with the software application and therefor the panel view info option shown via right click.
