Description Knut J BJuland 2001-01-20 20:13:36 UTC
When I am using aviplay from avifile, it report that XFree86 lib is missing xrender. I am using XFree86 4.0.2-1 from rawhide with Redhat 7.0 and
nvidia driver 0.9-6. Kde is also reporting the same error. But both program runs fine. I alos have qt from rawhide, along with gcc 2.9.6-70.

Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2001-01-21 03:39:58 UTC
Do you have the XFree86-libs from rawhide installed?

Comment 2 Knut J BJuland 2001-01-21 07:11:11 UTC
I have XFree86-libs 4.0.2-1 from rawhide with all XFree86 4.0.2-1 rpms also from rawhide. I think Nvidia 0.9-6 does not support xrenders. aviplay report
xrender not support on this display.

Comment 3 Bernhard Rosenkraenzer 2001-01-23 14:55:23 UTC
Our package supports Xft/Xrender without problems, and Nvidia don't release the
source for their driver so we can't fix it up.

Workaround: Get a graphics card from someone who cares about open source. ;)
