Description Steve Traylen 2026-03-14 06:12:24 UTC
Please can a branch and build be made of libisoburn be made for EPEL10, EPEL10.2 and EPEL10.1 if it still exists.

The current rawhide package does at least scratch build:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=143346856

I am unsure why this epel only package exists:

https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libisoburn1 and if that is relevant - not obviously.

Reproducible: Always

Please also build an EPEL 10.2 package and EPEL10.1 package if it still exists.

To request branches for these in case unaware it is:

fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module epel10.2

fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module epel10.1

Comment 1 Steve Traylen 2026-03-14 06:59:38 UTC
I expect https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libisoburn1 was created when epel still had isoburn version 0. It is not relevant then.

Comment 2 Robert Scheck 2026-03-15 23:35:59 UTC
I am sorry, but libisoburn can't be branched for EPEL 10, because it is part of RHEL 10 (see https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/82113 for the failure). If you run "dnf install libisoburn libisoburn-devel" yourself, you will see packages coming from RHEL 10.

Which package are you missing - xorriso?

Comment 3 Robert Scheck 2026-03-15 23:39:27 UTC
...but even xorriso is in RHEL 10, so what are you missing exactly?

Many EPEL packages require the CodeReady Builder (CRB) repository.
It is recommended that you run /usr/bin/crb enable to enable the CRB repository.

Is this ok [y/N]:

Comment 5 Steve Traylen 2026-03-16 12:48:08 UTC
Dear Robert,

I have wasted your time.

I noticed it while checking dependencies for pythonironic which I was unable to build yet and I was trying to get ahead of a later problem.

I should have course actually checked it did not-exist.

Apologies Steve.
