Switching component to ibus. Just launching application on LXDE F44 session causes it crash. Tried the below, all crashes. * lxterminal * gnome-terminal * gnome-abrt Using ibus-1.5.34~rc1-2.fc44. Reverting ibus to ibus-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.x86_64 restores the expected behavior (i.e. no crash) $ rpm -qa | grep ibus | grep 1.5.34 ibus-libs-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.x86_64 ibus-gtk2-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.x86_64 ibus-gtk3-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.x86_64 ibus-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.x86_64 ibus-panel-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.x86_64 ibus-xinit-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.noarch python3-ibus-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.x86_64 ibus-setup-1.5.34~beta1-3.fc44.noarch
LXDE uses X11, not wayland, FYI

Why the session type of LXDE is "wayland"? % env | grep -i wayland XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland 2. GTK3 does not get the backport of the part of ignoring "wayland" in X11 sessions of GTK4 env GTK_IM_MODULE=wayland lxterminal Segmentation fault ptyxis works fine with GTK4. ibus.conf will check WAYLAND_DISPLAY for the workaround while I think the root cause would be in LXDE but the trigger was the ibus change.
