Description Adam Williamson 2026-04-10 19:00:04 UTC
This is a downstream report of https://github.com/rpm-software-management/dnf5/issues/2601 . It's already resolved upstream, but I would like to see the fix backported to Fedora Rawhide and 44 (and 43 and 42 if they're affected, but I'm not sure they are).

As reported there, dnf operations sometimes fail with "cannot copy" errors for /usr/lib/sysimage/libdnf5/packages.toml/new . This is obviously annoying and causes flakes in automated test systems.

Not sure if this is worth an FE for F44, it might be fine as a post-release update.

Comment 2 Jens Petersen 2026-04-17 07:54:29 UTC
Pretty sure it is "/usr/lib/sysimage/libdnf5/packages.toml.new" no, though?

At least that is what I saw and searching didn't bring up this bug (-:

Yes, I was retyping it from a screenshot and I typo'ed. You can't edit bugzilla comments, though. I did type it right in the bug title, I think.
