Let's wait with this a bit, it needs coordination between the projects using libical/libical-glib, because it's not (intentionally) installable beside the 3.x series and it changes API in some degree.
I opened a thread on the Fedoda devel list: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/OAT6OWZ6OCN74HVAGHZB5SSHP6BMOU6E/
I can assure you that libical 4.0 is not officially released yet. The official release will happen in a few days. oh, I did mistakenly push the 4.0 tag about 10 days ago. and then immediately withdrew it. maybe that's why this issue was created. in the meantime, please wait a few more days at least. Milan will know for sure when its time.
Aha, I see, no problem with that. In fact Fedora will be slower to adopt it, due to the need for the synchronization between the projects which use libical 3.x, they will need to port to 4.x once it's out. That's the Fedora devel list announcement I mentioned above about.
It's official. libical 4.0.0 is released now. FTR: KDE stuff should be ported already to use libical 4.0.0. I did that as part of my migration testing.
Nice, thank you.
