After updating gdk-pixbuf2 to 2.44.6-1 on F43, sylpheed (and likely other applications) can no longer load xpm icons. (sylpheed:3473): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: 12:01:32.859: Error loading XPM image loader: Image type “legacy-xpm” is not supported As per the error message, xpm is now called legacy-xpm after the update for some reasons and the library doesn't know how to handle this format. If I compare with a stock F43 installation without gdk-pixbuf2-modules-extra (for xpm) installed, the name is just xpm. Error loading XPM image loader: Image type “xpm” is not supported I vaguely understand gdk-pixbuf2-modules-extra is obsoleted and replaced by glycin, and glycin is installed on my system, but something is still missing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. update gdk-pixbuf2 to 2.44.6-1 on F43 2. start sylpheed from CLI to get error messages Actual Results: xpm icons are missing in sylpheed Expected Results: xpm icons are displayed in sylpheed Additional Information: I have seen BZ 2451737 describes something similar but it targets F44 which has not been released yet. # dnf list --installed | egrep 'pixbuf|glycin' gdk-pixbuf2.x86_64 2.44.6-1.fc43 updates gdk-pixbuf2-modules-extra.x86_64 2.44.0-1.fc43 fedora glycin-libs.x86_64 2.0.8-1.fc43 updates glycin-loaders.x86_64 2.0.8-1.fc43 updates glycin-thumbnailer.x86_64 2.0.8-1.fc43 updates

Per discussion in bug 2452248, 2.44.6 should not have been pushed to a stable Fedora release.
