I've requested texlive-biblatex to be build for EPEL9 and am starting to work on requesting the dep chain: texlive-biblatex -> biber -> perl-Business-ISMN -> perl-Tie-Cycle It would also be nice to get EPEL10 ready as well. If you do not wish to maintain perl-Tie-Cycle and perl-Business-ISMN in epel, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS orion); please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/perl-Business-ISMN/adduser and https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/perl-Tie-Cycle/adduser Reproducible: Always

And of course perl-Text-BibTeX. I noticed with that I had to go back to 0.88-15 in EL9 because CRB only has perl(Config::AutoConf) 0.319. I don't know if that is a hard dep or not.
Also perl-XML-LibXML-Simple I'm trying to combine all of the needed perl packages that you maintain here. I hope that's okay.
And finally (I think) perl-Text-Roman

This might help get you started: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/branches/. There's nothing much different to it except that you need to explicitly request the branches you want (rather than releases constantly getting automatically branched from rawhide). Also, epel10 has minor versions - currently epel10.1 and epel10.2 in addition to epel10. Feel free to add me if you decide not to do the builds yourself. Although I already have too many packages myself....

Thanks @orion, so far so good. I dimly understand that I can use "buildroot overrides" to speed up this process (e.g., perl-Business-ISMN depends on perl-Tie-Cycle which I've just submitted). But I've not learned how to do that before. Let me know if all this is urgent.

It was added explicitly upstream here: https://github.com/ambs/Text-BibTeX/commit/ff35b673b730c8a12efa1e5dec35c15187dfdca5 My $0.02, somewhat based on my experience with these Biber and perl-Text-BibTeX but take with a grain of salt: don't try to get them into EPEL9. Stick with EPEL10. Look forward (or at least not too far backward).

I can understand your sentiment, but it's going to be a while before EL10 is going to be ready for broad use and EL9 is going to be around and useful for a long time. Looks like we can support it, so I think we should. I would encourage you to file a buildroot override - click the + next to the build in the build tab of the update. It's pretty easy and will speed things up a lot. Thanks again.
