Description of problem: Emacs package is using alternatives to let users switch between etags implementations, however the etags manual page is not handle by the alternatives framework. This can be done using the --slave option, (see e,g. sendmail/postfix packages). A simple patch to do this is attached. Note: I had to move the alternatives command to %posttrans, if not the link /usr/share/man/man1/etags.1.gz -> /etc/alternatives/etags-etagsman would not be created by alternatives. BTW: does it make sense to have %changelog going back ten years? (Abuse Emacs 22,1 release to make much shorter?)

A bit puzzled by the silence workflow here, this seems to be fixed since 22.1-9: http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewcvs/rpms/emacs/devel/emacs.spec?r1=1.102&r2=1.103&makepatch=1&diff_format=h Comments?
Changing version to '9' as part of upcoming Fedora 9 GA. More information and reason for this action is here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
Closing, seems to be fixed ages ago.
