udev's release notes (098, the last one where these were mentioned) say that the old names still work. Are they going to break soon or something? I'd like to keep the rules the same in all branches unless there's a real reason to fork them.

I'm picking up openct and opencs for now, I'm pretty much blank when it comes to experience with them though so I'll leave this bug as is for now. (I plan to work with them in the near future though, then I might revisited this bug).
I've just checked this and the necessary changes have already been made upstream, closing.
