Configure kde to start in french by default 2. Start kdevelop 3. An easier way to reproduce: in a console, type KDE_LANG=fr_FR kdevelop
Looks simply like a case of incomplete translations. Please report this upstream to bugs.kde.org I don't there's much we can do about it packaging-wise.
This report wasn't about incomplete french translation but about untranslated strings that are displayed in another language than english.
My apologies, perhaps "incorrect" translations would be a better description?
I don't think. I don't think this is a problem of translation but how there are managed. In a program using gettext tools, if a string is untranslated, the english version have to be displayed, not the version of another installed language.
OK... regardless, I'd hope you would agree that upstream(kde) should be made aware of this.
