Description sergio.bossa 2026-05-13 10:29:44 UTC
1. Please describe the problem:

The latest 7.0.4-200.fc44.x86_64 kernel seems to be missing MEI drivers: this seems to cause issues with audio and video on some Dell hardware, i.e. no mic and camera detected.

2. What is the Version-Release number of the kernel:

7.0.4-200.fc44.x86_64

3. Did it work previously in Fedora? If so, what kernel version did the issue
*first* appear? Old kernels are available for download at
   https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=8 :

It used to work on Fedora 43 with kernel 6.19.10-200.fc43.x86_6.

4. Can you reproduce this issue? If so, please provide the steps to reproduce
   the issue below:

This seems to be affecting all 7.0.4 installations, not just upgrades.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Malte Schünemann 2026-05-13 10:38:14 UTC
After upgrade to F44, the camera was working fine (kernel 6.19.14). Now with kernel 7 it does not. I currently need to boot with the older kernel.
