Description of problem: hwinfo is not available in EPEL for EL10. There is no option for epel10 in version so I selected rawhide. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): latest How reproducible: n/a Steps to Reproduce: 1. n/a Actual results: $ sudo dnf install hwinfo No match for argument: hwinfo Error: Unable to find a match: hwinfo Expected results: $ sudo dnf install hwinfo Package hwinfo-<version>.el10.<arch> is already installed. :-) Additional info: It would be of great help to me to have hwinfo in EPEL for EL10. The lack of hwinfo has also prevented the hw-probe package from being merged which is also of interest to me. https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/hw-probe/hw-probe/ Thank you!
Cross linking this bug report:- https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2484508 In my testing:- `rpmbuild --rebuild libx86emu-3.7-3.fc44.src.rpm` works just fine on EL10. Once that's available... `rpmbuild --rebuild hwinfo-23.2-8.fc44.src.rpm` also works just fine on EL10. It would be very helpful to get these available. Thank you!
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 45 development cycle. Changing version to 45.
@ngompa13, @lkundrak I would be very happy to handle this for EPEL 10 if you could add me as a co-maintainer (FAS account: jdieter).
