Bug fix in the main branch: https://github.com/wwmm/easyeffects/pull/5093
The fix merged into the main branch will be released with the next version
Sending the fix upstream is great, but it's not correct to close the downstream bug just because it was merged upstream. Downstream bugs should be closed only when a fix reaches downstream. Since you are not a maintainer of the downstream package, you cannot ensure this yourself and so should not assign the bug to yourself. The bug should stay open till a package maintainer or proven packager updates the package to a new version with the fix in it, or backports the fix. POST is the appropriate status for a bug with a known fix upstream but no known downstream application yet. When setting the bug to POST, it is good to link the PR in the "Links" section so it's easy for the maintainer to find.
