Redmi Buds 6 Play earbuds pair successfully, but after any reboot, system restart, or logout, they will not reconnect. Clicking "Connect" in KDE Bluetooth settings causes the earbuds to beep (indicating they received the connection attempt), but then they immediately disconnect. The only workaround is to forget the device and pair again from scratch, which sometimes doesnt work, or spamming bluetoothctl connect <their mac adress> multiple times until it connects . This happens every single boot/logout. The earbuds work flawlessly on Android and Windows, so the issue is not with the earbuds themselves. Once connected the connection is fairly stable with no random disconnects experienced so far. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Pair Redmi Buds 6 Play with the system. 2. I Use the earbuds normally. 3. I Put the buds in their charging case or I Reboot, or log out and log back in. 4. After logging back in, I open KDE Bluetooth settings and click the "Connect" button for the already-paired earbuds. 5. The earbuds emit a connection beep (they acknowledge the attempt), but then disconnect immediately. No audio connection is established. Actual Results: The earbuds appear as “Paired” in KDE’s Bluetooth settings. When I click the “Connect” button, the earbuds emit a short beep (they acknowledge the connection attempt), but then they disconnect immediately. No audio connection happens. The only way to make them work again is to forget the device and pair from scratch. This happens every single time I boot, restart, or log out. Expected Results: After a reboot, restart, or logout, the earbuds should either: Automatically reconnect, or Immediately connect when I manually click “Connect” in the Bluetooth settings. I should not have to forget and re-pair the device, or spam bluetoothctl connect every time. Additional Information: Distro: Fedora 44 KDE Plasma Edition Bluetooth chip: MediaTek MT7921 (driver: mt7921e) Earbuds model: Redmi Buds 6 Play Bluetooth stack version: (bluetoothctl -v) 5.86 Kernel version: 7.0.9-205.fc44.x86_64 The problem occurs with both the KDE Bluetooth applet and the command‑line (bluetoothctl connect).
