Comment 4 Fabio Valentini 2026-07-02 12:53:15 UTC
Package was generated with rust2rpm, simplifying the review.

The license texts are correctly included from the upstream GitHub repo.
I also filed a PR to include them in future versions so that workaround (hopefully) won't be necessary indefinitely:
https://github.com/georust/geo/pull/1550

Hiding a bunch of optional features is justifiable since they all pull in additional dependencies that are not actually needed here - papers v50 seems to only require this crate without *any* features (not even "default").

✅ package contains only permissible content
✅ package builds and installs without errors on rawhide
✅ test suite is run and all unit tests pass
✅ latest version of the crate is packaged
✅ license matches upstream specification and is acceptable for Fedora
🫤 license files are included with %license in %files:
included manually from upstream repository on GitHub,
PR to include license texts in future versions pending.
✅ package complies with Rust Packaging Guidelines

Package APPROVED.

  homepage: https://crates.io/crates/$crate
  backend: crates.io
  version scheme: semantic
version filter (*NOT* pre-release filter): alpha;beta;rc;pre
  distro: Fedora
  Package: rust-$crate

- set bugzilla assignee overrides to @rust-sig (optional)
