dnfast is an independent RPM package manager for Fedora. It verifies repository metadata and selected RPMs, resolves transactions with Fedora's dependency solver libraries, and applies approved transactions with RPM libraries. Its supported command surface is intentionally smaller than DNF5 and fails closed for unsupported operations. Local non-root Rawhide rpmbuild completed %check with 443 passed, 0 failed, and 2 ignored tests. rpmlint over the spec, SRPM, main binary, debuginfo, and debugsource reports 0 errors and 0 warnings. Fresh Rawhide QA installed the package directly and from the enabled gplaider/dnfast COPR repository, required the exact 0.1.0-4.fc45 binary and COPR origin, ran dnfast doctor, verified dnfastd.service is disabled by default, passed rpm -V, removed the package, and confirmed it was absent afterward. The build uses Fedora's system libzstd and explicitly deletes the bundled zstd C source during %prep. Public input checksums: e3abde922c88ecb3355086ebad1722073a0bac8fb8c485b25ab593592db65cb8 dnfast.spec 84bc1bd17e8bcb4d143dd4e87ae3b445ea2eef3673635a95d024a3a6628cf6f6 dnfast-0.1.0-4.fc45.src.rpm The package intentionally supports x86_64 and aarch64. Host RPM architecture, repository metadata validation, transaction planning, and executor policy are fail-closed and currently implement those two architectures only. The automated Fedora Review reports contain one generic unchecked item: "Reviewer should test that the package builds in mock." COPR itself built this exact SRPM in native Rawhide x86_64 and aarch64 chroots; the linked builder logs and successful chroot results are the corresponding build evidence. Fedora packager sponsorship is requested for this first package review.
