libsonata failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f45 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=147870935 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_45_Mass_Rebuild Please fix libsonata at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, libsonata will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 46, libsonata will be retired, if it still fails to build. In https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-2551d0d66b we have shipped Python 3.15.0b4. All packages that link to libpython or have extension modules should be rebuilt, or they will segfault on import/usage. Packages using stable ABI might not need a rebuild. This package was not rebuilt because we were unable to do so. Please rebuild it with Python 3.15.0b4+ ASAP. Thanks
Thanks---this one is on the (long) list of FTBFS packages we're working on.
This is a reminder that Fedora 45 final freeze starts next week and we really need to either rebuild python3-libsonata or at least thoroughly test it to see if it works correctly without the rebuild.
$ python3 Python 3.15.0rc2 (3.15.0~rc2-1.fc45.x86_64, Sep 3 2026, 00:00:00) [GCC 16.2.1 20260819 (Red Hat 16.2.1-2)] on linux Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import libsonata Segmentation fault (core dumped) python3
Should be fixed this week. Actively being worked upon.
