LLVM 23 is an accepted Fedora 45 change: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/LLVM-23 In order to let the Fedora community plan the tests ahead of time, we've been asked to open this BetaFE early. We will update it when the side-tag is ready. Reproducible: Always
AGREED AcceptedBetaFreezeException Discussed at the 2026-08-24 (blocker / freeze exception) review meeting: This was effectively requested by FESCo since the Change specifically states 'Our plan is to push 23.1.0 into Fedora 45 during the Beta Freeze with a Beta Freeze exception' and FESCo approved it, so we respect that. https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org//blocker-review_matrix_fedoraproject-org/2026-08-24/f45-blocker-review.2026-08-24-15.59.log.txt
Hmm. Well. The update for this only *just* showed up four hours ago, on the day of Beta Go/No-Go: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-06a5023802 that was much too late to make it into Beta (also, the update failed gating, I will look into why shortly). So now we're shipping Beta without it. I guess FESCo needs to decide whether to still accept this Change for F45 into Final without it being in Beta. Dropping BetaFE status, anyway, as it's pointless now.
